As a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist my work is concerned with unconscious processes and how they manifest in destructive ways to hold us back and prevent us from living and loving ourselves fully.

Destructive behaviours manifest in many ways. Perhaps one of the most common manifestations is unhealthy eating/drinking habits. For some of us, food and drink dependency is a chronic illness that requires medical attention. For the rest of us, moderation is a daily and powerful temptation which requires constant re-balancing.

Things were so different before; I grew up on doughnuts and Jammy Dodgers, (these are biscuits for those of you too young to remember!). My mum would pick me up from boarding school some weekends with a box jammed with cakes and fizzy drinks. I thought I was the luckiest girl in the world. They just didn’t have the education back then.
I mean, I remember when smoking was allowed on buses, tubes and air-planes and even hospitals. Can you believe it?!

Today, anyone who tells you they don’t know that a good diet and regular exercise is essential for their well-being is straight up lying to you AND themselves!!

A good healthy lifestyle along with therapy that involves spiritual work will transform your life.

The most effective route to optimal health is to approach your daily life with what I call THE TRINITY MINDSET. MIND, BODY, SOUL.

Start your morning with a routing FOR MIND and SOUL.

  1. 5 minutes of deep breathing. Inhale deeply, hold for 4 second. Exhale slowly, hold for 6 seconds.
  2. Write. 10 things you’re grateful for.
  3. Pray or watch morning mediation. Something that connects you to something bigger than yourself! My personal favourite is Abraham Hick Morning Rampage on You Tube.

Do something to get moving.

  1. Walk for 30 minutes
  2. Go gym
  3. Get a bike
